Datar Dalia Dal - Is made by taking chickpeas, Kabuli chana or Bengal gram and removing the shell and splitting them in half. The lentil gives a deeper taste and texture. Can be made into khichdi which is an ideal one-dish meal prepared by adding different vegetables which makes it more nutritious.
