Eheim Mech is a prefilter medium made of ceramic tubes for coarse dirt particles. Directly after its introduction into the filtration cycle, the water is swirled through the ceramic tubes. By this process, the dirt particles sink to the bottom. Then the treated, prefiltered water is channelled through the other filter media. It is easy to clean, reusable and is suitable for fresh and marine water.
