The name of the fragrance echoes the famous perfume “Eau Sauvage” from 1966, but is a completely new aromatic composition. Sauvage perfume has a bright, natural, almost mystical energy. The radiant top notes deliver a burst of juicy citrusy freshness from Calabrian bergamot with subtle peppery hints. In the heart of the composition, damp woody shades of vetiver are combined with the warm spice of patchouli leaves, vanilla-resinous elemi, sweet-mint geranium, fragrant lavender and spicy shades of black and pink pepper. The musky-amber tints of ambroxan sound in the final chord, forming a warm, exciting woody trail with white cedar and smoky aromatic incense. The aromatic composition of Christian Dior Sauvage is inspired by the vast expanses and bright blue bottomless sky that stretches over the landscape of a desert scorching under the hot sun.
