A balloon filled with helium looks like it is really walking, but the helium gradually escapes from the balloon, causing it to lose its shape. The length of the balloons full shutdown depends on the surrounding conditions and handling. A balloon filled with helium is fully inflated for about 24 hours, after which the helium gradually leaks out. The balloon can be re-inflated.
