The acoustic characteristics and overall dimensions of the C1 speakers are ideal for installation in the vehicle's standard locations behind the original protective grilles. The woofer\/midrange driver with its sturdy steel basket has a relatively shallow mounting depth and is supplied with adapter adapters with various mounts - from 165 to 170 mm (6.5" and 6.75" respectively). Without this adapter, the woofer\/midrange driver can easily be installed to replace 6-inch OEM speakers. The C1's compact tweeters feature universal mounts for surface or plunge mounting. Creating a series of C1 engineers JL Audio fully utilized its vast experience in the design of low-frequency speakers. This is experience in designing loudspeakers that can play loud and dynamic, while smooth and low distortion. The parameters of the magnetic system are calculated and optimized using the patented DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) technology, which uses the finite element method to evaluate changes in the magnetic field in the speaker. The diffuser is injection molded from mineral-filled polypropylene and has a honeycomb surface structure to increase its rigidity. Polypropylene is lighter than cellulose and still has excellent internal damping characteristics. The Conex® rubber surround and spider precisely control the movement of the voice coil. Leading conductors are carefully soldered and gauged to prevent breakage or rattling. C1 loudspeakers equipped with aluminum dome tweeters offer excellent clarity and detail in the high-frequency range. The C1 tweeter has an excellent off-axis frequency response that extends from 4000 to 24 kHz. The silk suspension of the aluminum dome and ferromagnetic fluid in the voice coil gap dampens its resonances. The woofer\/midrange drivers play on top of the natural decay, the tweeter is switched through a 12 dB\/octave HF filter equipped with overload protection circuitry.
